New Concert and Outreach Programs by GAC Artists for the 2025-2026 Season.
1) Soul Revolution! Rhymes, Beats & Dance Featuring the dancers of Fraggle Rock Crew, Soul Revolution takes you on a journey from the original Hip-Hop dance styles of the 1960s (Popping, Locking, Breaking) to present day Fusion and Freestyling. Global Heat provides the live music for this show covering the classic hits associated with each era of Hip-Hop dance.
2) Music Soulstice: The Roots, Golden Age, and Impact of Soul Music in America features songs from the greats of Soul music and its spin-off genres. Global Heat performs the music of Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, and James Brown; the Motown sound of Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder; through to R&B from Earth Wind and Fire, Bootsy Collins and others; and up to Michael Jackson, Prince, and contemporary artists like Lizzo, Anderson Paak, and Kendrick Lamar.
3) The Intersection of Soul, Jazz & Hip-Hop: Social Impacts across the Globe features Global Heat, with special guest artists representing Asian and African cultures. The program explores diverse musical genres as a conduit for cross-cultural dialogue.

Public Workshops and a Concert Performance with special guests jazz trumpet player Nathan Breedlove, India tabla master Anil Prasad, African multi-instrumentalist Boka Kouyate, and more are scheduled to start in early 2025. This interactive project is supported by a grant from the Cross-cultural Center Without Walls program under the Diversity Advantage Initiative of the City of Bellevue (WA). Global Heat Awarded a Juried Showcase Slot at the 2022 Arts Northwest Booking Conference in Tacoma, WA
Global Heat band with special guest breakdancers from Fraggle Rock Crew will showcase at the Arts Northwest booking conference on Wednesday October 12, 2022. Showcases will be presented at Theatre on the Square, 915 Broadway, Tacoma, WA. Representatives from Global Artists Collective will have an exhibit booth at the conference. Multi-Platinum Producer Richard Garcia to Produce Global Heat's New Album
Richard Garcia whose credits include Lady Gaga, Destiny’s Child, R Kelly, Snoop Dogg, and other primary market artists is now producing Global Heat's new album. With influences ranging from The Roots, to Bruno Mars, to Macklemore, Global Heat plays mainly original music and some adapted old-school R&B/funk tunes. Performing arts Presenters have called the show "a riveting performance" and "a wonderful cultural event – bridging the gaps between generations, color, culture", with music that is "mystical, magical, majestic and with a message".
TRIBE-olution Receives 4Culture GAP Award for New Program
4Culture, an arts funding agency in King County, WA awarded TRIBE-olution a new grant to develop choreography and a master-dancers panel on the theme “Choreography of Conflict Resolution: Cross-Cultural Approaches to Playful Fighting”. Public presentation of the choreography and a masters’ panel discussion will be presented in 2018, and available for tours in 2019.
Global Heat Recognized for Outstanding Performances in Arts Outreach Program
During their April 2017 tour to the Reno NV region sponsored by Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, Global Heat performed for more than 5,000 youth and approximately 450 adults at 16 venues. The popularity of the bands outreach program is evidenced in this comment from a show coordinator via Pioneer Center: "Global Heat was one of the most educational performances that we’ve had (right up there with Ellis Marsalis)... great musicians and the performance was quality, but that next level they provided with the science of music production and creation was really what set them apart.”
Draze's Music Reaching New Audiences Around the World
Draze is gaining new fans fast in his family's homeland of Zimbabwe. From blog features to radio interviews, he is a favorite of young people as well as older folks familiar with his father Dumisani Maraire, a premier exponent of Zimbabwean traditional music, and his sister Chiwoniso, formerly a touring songstress. Across the world, Draze's music is receiving attention with recent placements in Fox's hit show, “Empire”, in an Olympics commercial ad for Speedo; in an ad on NBA TV; on ESPN’s “Sports Center”, NFL Network, MTV, and VH1 Black Inc; and several other majors.

TRIBE-olution's Cross-Cultural Dance Theatre
An 11-member TRIBE-olution ensemble presents their dance-theatre show 'Parallels in Motion' , an exploration of the roots of break dance in African dance, Brazilian martial arts (Capoeira), & Shaolin Kung Fu. Premiered at the renowned Montbleu Theatre at Lake Tahoe in September 2015, the show has 12 scenes with original lighting and backdrop projection.

Rob Pastorok of Global Artists Collective receives 2014 Artist Trust award
Rob Pastorok of Global Artists Collective was awarded a 2014 Artist Trust Grant for Artist Projects (GAP). The recipients are featured on the Artist Trust website at www.artisttrust.org. Since 1988, Artist Trust’s Grants for Artist Projects program has provided artist support for development, completion or presentation of new work, art supplies, studio rental, research travel, etc.
